What is an Infographic? Our Definition
An infographic is a visual representation of data and information enabling people to grasp relatively complex scenarios quickly and easily.
If they do their job well, infographics can tell a big story in a simple, beautiful and engaging way, and do it more effectively than pages and pages of words and tables of supporting data. Good infographics must have a narrative flow – they tell a story in visual shorthand that is immediately digestible.
Known for their heavy content lifting on the web, infographics are also the communication tool of choice when there is a only a very limited amount of time to convey a very big and persuasive argument. No wonder executives, along with just about everybody else on the web, are singling out infographics as the most effective form of digital content around.
